Dallas, TX - Video Post & Transfer (VPT) teams up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in conjunction with 2005 BuzzFreeProm, Inc., pledging to make 2005's prom season a safe one. VPT wrote, shot, produced and edited four nationally-distributed PSAs and a 15-minute short, encouraging teens to abstain from using alcohol and drugs on prom night.
The 15-minute piece is part of a "BuzzFree Kit" distributed and implemented in high schools across the country. It will be shown to prom-goers just before their big night. This kit encourages and rewards responsible behavior by teens during their Prom season. Teens that sign a MADD PROMise to "Keep it Safe" pledge not to drink or do drugs, are entitled to discounts on prom-related merchandise and activities.
The series of PSAs and the 15-minute program headline Miss Teen USA, 17-year-old Shelley Hennig. Shelley, as this year's spokesperson for MADD / BuzzFreeProm, is the dynamic centerpiece and the compelling cornerstone of the PSAs and the 15-minute piece urging kidgs to make the "Smart Choice" this year at prom don't drink, don't do drugs.
"The bad choices you make don't just change your life, but change the lives of the ones that love you." Shelley Hennig. Shelley speaks from experience after an alcohol-related crash took the life of her brother.
The footage of Shelley was shot in New York City. The spots were written and produced by Kim Tierney, off-line editing and filming by Sai Selvarajan, color-correction by Steve Franko and Kelly Riemenschneider, audio mix by Tim Nagle and on-line editing by Martin Spirit.
Liza Orchard, entrepreneur and founder of BuzzFree, Inc., was blown away by the level of service and quality of production she received at VPT. "Even though I'm (from) a non-profit organization, I was treated like a million dollar customer at VPT," said Ms. Orchard.
